Marilyne Uzest

French National Institute for Agriculture, Food, and Environment (INRAE)

Marilyne Uzest is a research scientist at the National Research Institute for Agriculture, Food, and Environment (INRAE) in Montpellier, France. Her work focuses on plant viruses, particularly the molecular mechanisms involved in their transmission by insect vectors, such as aphids. Her research has led to new studies on the characterization of the cuticle of aphid stylets, which is crucial for identifying virus receptors. Since 2011, she has played a key role in studying virus-vector and plant-insect interactions within the field of plant health and the environment.
