Danilo M. Daloso is an Associate Professor at the Federal University of Ceará, Brazil, specializing in plant biochemistry and molecular biology. He received his PhD in Plant Biology from the Federal University of Viçosa and completed a postdoctoral fellowship at the Max Planck Institute of Molecular Plant Physiology in Germany.

His research focuses on metabolic regulation in guard cells, photosynthesis, and plant responses to environmental stresses. He has made significant contributions to plant biotechnology through numerous publications on plant metabolism, environmental stress, and molecular physiology.
