Agnieszka Golicz
Host:
Agnieszka Golicz is a Professor of Agrobioinformatics at Justus Liebig University in Giessen, Germany, where she leads research at the IFZ Research Centre for Biosystems, Land Use and Nutrition.
Her work focuses on pangenomics, structural genome variation, and its effects on gene regulation, agronomic traits, and 3D genome architecture. She also explores the use of deep learning for predicting gene expression and regulatory elements, and develops methods for graphical pangenome construction and annotation. Additionally, she investigates how structural variation interacts with meiotic recombination to shape genomic diversity.
