A primary school class named after CRAG researcher Ana Caño: working to promote female role models in science
The 3rd grade students from the primary school Pau Casals-Gràcia have decided to name their class this year “Ana Caño”. The teachers of the school told their pupils that they had to name the classroom after a female scientist. The kids proposed different names, but the winner was a CRAG researcher that, as the kids explained, works to eradicate hunger in the world by developing plants that need less water.
The Catalan Newspaper ARA explained this story among others that seek to break gender stereotypes.
