CRAG has been awarded a MSCA-COFUND Fellowship programme

The EC will cofund 20 two-year postdoctoral fellowships to conduct multidisciplinary and intersectoral research projects

The European Commission has recently notified CRAG of the successful outcome of the AGenT (Agricultural Genomics Transversal) proposal in the H2020-MSCA-COFUND-2019 call. This highly competitive EC programme will provide almost 1.5 million euros to fund CRAG’s new AGenT postdoctoral programme.

The AGenT postdoctoral program is an ambitious research and training initiative designed to conduct multidisciplinary and intersectoral research projects at CRAG in conjunction with associated partner organizations (private companies, research centres and academic institutions), both national and international. The program will offer twenty two-year postdoctoral fellowships, and provide ample opportunities for: secondments and research collaborations; training both in specific research areas and in transferable or transversal skills; and networking activities in both the academic and the industrial sectors; all in order to enrich the training of the fellows and enhance their professional development while conducting projects of research of excellence.

The EC MSCA-COFUND programme aims to foster excellence in researchers' training, mobility and career development, achieving an impact at the researcher, organisation and system level. The AGenT proposal is a major initiative for CRAG that aims to leverage the capacities of CRAG and those of the partner institutions to develop a high-impact training program for Experienced Researchers in the area of plant and agricultural sciences.

The 1st call of the AGenT Programme is expected to open in the last quarter of 2020.
