Estreno de la obra "Barbara McClintock, la variación genética del jazz en los maizales"

El proyecto “Divulgación a través del teatro. Barbara McClintock, Vida y Ciencia” es una iniciativa del CRAG, el IRTA y la ESAD de Córdoba, financiada por la FECYT y liderada por Ana Montserrat Martín-Hernández. Su objetivo es acercar la ciencia al público a través del teatro, fomentando vocaciones científicas, especialmente entre las jóvenes. La propuesta incluye la creación de una obra sobre la genetista Barbara McClintock y material divulgativo en una maleta pedagógica para su distribución en escuelas y centros culturales.

La obra se estrenará, tras varios meses de trabajo y ensayos, el sábado 10 de mayo en el Centro Cívico Vil·la Urània de Barcelona. Constará de dos pases, uno por la mañana, a las 12:00 h y otro por la tarde; a las 18:00 h.

Add to Calendar 2025-05-10 12:00:00 2025-05-10 20:00:00 Premiere of the play "Barbara McClintock, the genetic variation of jazz in the cornfields"   The project "Outreach through Theater: Barbara McClintock, Life and Science" is an initiative by CRAG, IRTA, and the ESAD of Córdoba, funded by FECYT and led by Ana Montserrat Martín-Hernández. Its goal is to bring science closer to the public through theater, promoting scientific vocations, especially among young people. The project includes the creation of a play about the geneticist Barbara McClintock and educational material in a pedagogical kit to be distributed in schools and cultural centers. The play will premiere, after several months of work and rehearsals, on Saturday, May 10, at the  Vil·la Urània Civic Center in Barcelona. There will be two performances: one in the morning at 12:00 PM and another in the afternoon at 6:00 PM.
