Congress: The CRAG takes part in the 22nd Science Week
From the 10th to the 19th of November, the 22nd edition of the Science Week will take place. Ten days in which science is brought to the public of all ages through a wide range of activities that seek to encourage the citizen participation in scientific matters. One more year, the Centre for Research in Agricultural Genomics (CRAG) actively participates in this event organizing different workshops and talks that aim to explain the latest scientific advances of the Centre.
The experimental workshop “Mutant plants” is one of the main activities offered by the CRAG during this week. From Tuesday to Friday, the students of two nearby primary schools will work as real scientists, side by side with CRAG researchers, discovering different mutant plants.
Another outstanding activity of the Science Week, an initiative coordinated by the Catalan Foundation for Research and Innovation, is the Day of science at schools that will take place on Wednesday 15th of November. Among the hundred informative lectures planned during this day, five CRAG researchers -Silvia Fornalé, Ignacio López, Jaume Martínez, Soraya Pelaz and Irma Roig- will explain the science in first person to high school students of different schools and institutes from the Barcelona Area.
