The International Symposium on Plant Photobiology (ISPP) will be held in the lively city of Barcelona, Spain, this coming spring from Monday 3th to Saturday 8th June 2019.

Plant photobiology research focuses on the perception of light by plants, the developmental adaptations that a changing light environment causes and the mechanistic and genetic basis of these adaptations. The ISPP is a biannual meeting where the world’s leaders as well as upcoming talents in the field gather to share their latest results and discuss future directions.

The organizing committee, formed by four CRAG researchers (Charlotte Gommers, Jaume Martinez-Garcia, Elena Monte and Jordi Moreno-Romero), is preparing an attractive programme for researchers at different stages in their career, with international highly-valued speakers as well as young talents. Participants are encouraged to submit abstracts, from which talks and flash-talks will be selected. We also prepare poster sessions that will be fun to attend and aim to promote lively scientific discussion between all participants.

The conference will be held within the Parc de Recerca Biomèdica de Barcelona (PRBB) building, a beautiful modern building that holds a research institute, very close to the Olympic harbour and by the beach.

See you this spring in Barcelona!
