International Women’s Day: Projection of the "Scientifilia" documentary and roundtable
On the occasion of the International Women’s Day, CRAG’s Women in Science Committee invites the entire scientific communiy to the screening of Scientifilia, a 25-minute documentary showing the secrets of the scientific profession through the eyes of four people of different gender and positions dedicated to research. Topics such as the presence of women in the world of science, freedom in research, job insecurity and the uniqueness of scientific work are discussed throughout this short film.
The projection will be followed by a 30-minute roundtable debating the issues presented in the documentary under a gender perspective. With the aim of visualizing the gender gap in science as a real problem that affects us all, Pilar Rodríguez, Scientifilia director and Communication Manager at IBE, will moderate this roundtable with researchers of different gender and positions:
- Concepció Rovira Angulo, ICMAB Research Professor
- Juan José López-Moya, CSIC Associate Professor at CRAG
- Julia Qüesta, Career Track Fellow at CRAG
- Arántzazu González Campo, ICMAB Ramón y Cajal Researcher, and member of AMIT-CAT (Associació de Dones Investigadores i Tecnòlogues)
The documentary will be screened in original version (Spanish) with English subtitles.
