News: JOB OPENING: Junior Group Leader in the Area of Plant Development
The Centre for Research in Agricultural Genomics (CRAG) is currently seeking a new Junior Group Leader in the area of Plant Development to start an independent Research Group.
The candidate is expected to build a top-leading research program that addresses fundamental questions in plant signalling and development. Areas of particular interest include, but are not limited to: developmental biology in non-model systems and/or crops, with the potential to promote translational research activities; plant evolutionary developmental biology; and interdisciplinary and novel approaches including Systems Biology, Synthetic Biology or cutting-edge Cell Biology. The candidate is expected to create synergies with the current Research Programs at CRAG (www.cragenomica.es/research-programs). The main criterion for selection will be scientific excellence, favouring projects of a high, fundamental or applied, impact.

Appointment level and salary will depend on the profile of the successful candidate. The successful candidate will be employed in compliance with Spanish legislation and regulations under a full-time contract and will receive the benefits of the Spanish Social Security system covering sickness, maternity/paternity leaves and injuries at work.
This position will be initially funded by the Severo Ochoa Centre of Excellence award.
