News: PhD student positions within the CRAG International “Severo Ochoa” PhD Program-2018 Call
The Center for Research in Agricultural Genomics (CRAG) is advertising 4 PhD positions in its 2018 call. This is a four-year program beginning in early 2019. Doctoral students enrolled in this program will obtain their PhD Degree from either the Autonomous University of Barcelona (UAB) or the University of Barcelona (UB).
The Doctoral program of the Centre for Research in Agricultural Genomics (CRAG) hosts students interested in the areas of plant biology and biotechnology, and plant and farm animal genomics and genetics. The program welcomes applications from motivated national and international students.
We are looking for enthusiastic students interested in modern, multidisciplinary plant sciences, encompassing experimental, bioinformatic and theoretical approaches. Doctoral projects included in this call are:
- Genetic dissection of factors influencing fruit flesh color in melon
- The hidden nature of the Arabidopsis peptidome: Analyses of the Arabidopsis flower development gene regulatory network
- Role of microRNAs (miRNAs) in plant immunity: crosstalk between nutrient homeostasis and disease resistance in rice and Arabidopsis
- Understanding plant domestication through the genomic analysis of ancient emmer wheat from Egypt
