Breathing tomatoes workshop

The Breathing tomatoes experimental workshop is addressed to high school student groups from 16 to 18 years old, and is offered at the CRAG facilities in Bellaterra. The workshop aims to spark students' curiosity about science, plant research and scientific careers in general. The students will have to solve a scientific challenge posed by Ramón y Cajal researcher Igor Florez-Sarasa from the genetics and genomics of vegetable crops research group. They will learn through a practical case the function of carotenoids and the processes of plant breathing and maturation. Besides that, they will be able to take a tour to visit various CRAG facilities, such as laboratories and greenhouses.

At this time, the registration period for the 2024/25 school year workshops is closed. Stay tuned to the CRAG website and social networks for news on the registration opening, or subscribe to the distribution list and we will notify you by email.
